HANNAH POGEMILLER

Hannah is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Arts and Entertainment Management alongside Theatre Performance, a blend of studies that has expanded her creative practice while deepening her skills in producing, leadership, and organizational innovation. During her time at Dean, she founded The Guild: New Theatre Works, a student-run organization dedicated to developing and producing original student work. Through this initiative, she helped cultivate devised pieces, 24-hour play festivals, new musicals, and full productions, all centered on creating more performance opportunities for students across campus. This experience reinforced her commitment to empowering emerging artists to claim ownership of their stories and offering them meaningful platforms to share their stories.

A guiding principle of Hannah’s work is creating a safe and equitable rehearsal space. She believes that art is essential in today’s world because it gives people the freedom to express themselves in the way that feels true to them. When students feel supported, they are empowered to deepen their creativity, and the work they create has the potential to influence their community. Her role as an educator is to nurture this environment, ensuring that rehearsals and classrooms remain places where every student’s voice is valued.
